Our Mission
lya-Ful Ital Cuisine's goal is to enlighten people on the benefits of natural remedies and healing through the power of “ITAL” Food and how it can benefit not only us, but to the environment that we live in. Our mission is to show people the benefits of consuming fresh fruits and plant based foods can benefit your body not just physically but also mentally.
As humans we connect with plants and animals in many ways that we don't realize. We know that we don't need to eliminate animals for food in order to survive on this planet. We can survive and heal using plants, fruits, natural grains and roots just like animals. It is proven to be not only healthier, but VITAL for our bodies. We’ve studied and know for certain that we can heal our bodies with certain foods, plants and herbs without the use of Western medicines and doctors.
Our mission is to bring awareness and education of the Ital way of Livity. We seek to continue raising the consciousness and raising the vibrations to reach higher frequencies within ourselves. This begins with what our bodies intake because at Iya-Ful know that what we consume affects us in ways that many of us don't realize! We are creating a new consciousness and cycle based on the Earth’s and universes magical Rhythm. It's a part of our everyday lives, it is how we thrive, and its our pleasure to share this knowledge and experience with each and everyone!
MEET IYA INGI
My name is Yilmie but you all know me as "Iya". I'm from Jamaica and I am an international reggae artist in Kingston, Jamaica. My love for cooking food has always been a big part of me, ever since I was small. I was the baby of the house, and I had the privilege to learn all about cooking and the food that we consume. I was always in the kitchen with my mom but I realized that when my father was in the kitchen the vibe was different. He used so many different spices, and peppers that just enhanced the flavors of everything he cooked! I then started exploring and realized I wanted to be fully in tune with Rastafari. My journey within Rastafari taught me all about plants and different foods that can be made with them. I gradually stopped eating beef and mutton first, and decided to stick to just fish and vegetables. My brother Moses, another international reggae artist, got me into the full plant business. He was the only person around me that I saw cooking plant based food and he taught me how to cook stews, different types of beans and much more. In 2000 I had my first child and started my juice company, Iya Natural Juices. In 2013 I came to the US for the first time, where I started expanding my knowledge of plants. In 2019 I went back to Jamaica and formed the Ingi Ground Wellness Center where I had a full restaurant. The menu consisted of many juices and food items. Later that year I came to Arizona for the first time and performed. This is when I met my brother Malik and later, we agreed to run lya-Ful Ital Cuisine together.
MEET FULANI MALIK
I am a husband, father and cofounder of lya-Ful Ital Cuisine. Born in the city of Chicago but raised by a country man from Alabama. I learned from my father how to nurture the family through the food. My ITAL journey started in 1994. We quickly realized that my 2nd born son was allergic to almost everything we gave him. This made me far more cautious about what I was feeding my child and what was actually in the foods that he was consuming. Because of this, I started to try new recipes and spices that might be better for my whole family to consume. This brought back memories of my father and when he would show me new recipes and different ways to cook with spices and herbs. Later on I landed on multiple opportunities to cook privately for people, which brought me to cooking for Erykah Badu at one of her festivals. This gave me so much confidence that this passion of mine is something that I can definitely do professionally. I love cooking for, and teaching people about different foods. As well as bringing awareness to what's in the foods that they're consuming on a daily basis. This has been the perfect opportunity for me to show my passion to everyone, and has aligned me with Iya. lya was also promoting ital and teaching people about the foods that we consume. We both wanted to expand our businesses and ended up joining forces to bring upon lya-Ful Ital Cuisine.
